In H1 2012 JSC Eastern Energy Company increased power export volumes to China up to 984 mln kw/h
For the six months of 2012, JSC Eastern Energy Company exported to China 984 mln kW/h that is 57% more as compared to the same period last year (627 mln kW/h).
In total, over 2.6 bln kW/h will be exported to China. For reference, in 2011 the total power export volume to CPR amounted to 1.2 bln kW/h.
Power is supplied within the frames of the new long-term contract which JSC Eastern Energy Company signed with the State Grid Company of China in February 2012. The contract provides for the supply of 100 bln kW/h to China in the period of 25 years.
The technical potential to increase the export volumes has appeared due to the construction of a new 500 kV transmission line Amurskaya – Heihe completed at the end of 2011.
